I started leading exercise classes in 1981 at the YWCA in Waukesha, WI. While recovering from a mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer, I was visited by another cancer survivor. She was an aerobics teacher and talked with me about living with no regrets. She asked me what I would like to do. I was taking aerobics classes at the time and I said I would like to teach aerobics classes.

When the YWCA was looking for a substitute group leader, I jumped in. After the YWCA disbanded, I started teaching classes on my own. I lead classes in numerous places in the region for 24 years before finding a spot in the St. James Activity Center.

I am American Council of Exercise (ACE) certified as a Group Fitness Leader and Personal Trainer. I am certified through Aqua Exercise Association (AEA) as an Arthritis Class Instructor.  (I currently teach aqua Joint Efforts at the YMCA-Mukwonago as well as other classes there). I also am CPR certified. I have a B.S. degree in Medical Technology from the University of Minn. and worked in hospital labs for more than 30 years.

I have been doing what I love, blending dance with fitness training, for over 30 years. Blending my experience and preparation with resistance training, flexibility and balance work, gives my classes something for every need. I strive to make sure that my classes are fun and tailored to the needs of the students.
